Gravapendra are very big centipedes with huge mandibles on the front of their mouth. They live in space, or on planets that have either low gravity, high gravity or fluctuating gravity anomalies. The Gravapendra consume numenera of most types. When presented with numenera they enter a frenzy destroying everything in sight. Not much is known about the monsters, and the few times they were encountered only one or two people survived who could provided any information on the entities.

- Gravapendra thrive on consuming technology. When they encounter numenera, they enter a feeding frenzy mode.
- High or low gravity locations. Outerspace, warp gates, black holes, or low gravity planets.
If a Gravapendra consumes a cypher, artifact, or piece of numenera it regenerates a d6 of health. The DM will have to specify the Gravapendra is trying to attack a specific numenera, and then spend it’s entire turn devouring the item.
Because the Gravapendra live in fluctuating gravity environments, they know how to use gravity to their advantage. In melee combat they attack as a level (7) creature.
Gravapendra are vicious and calculating when attacked. Each centipede works in a collective striking coordinated when provoked. Their food source is all types of numenera: technology, cyphers, artifacts, and oddities.
Gravapendra eat most numenera and technology. They leave little behind. It’s occasionally possible to scavenge 1d6 shins from the stomach of one.
